My Favorite Season is Here!

Autumn is my favorite season by far. I love the jacket weather and mix of sun shiny days with cloudy ones. I love seeing the leaves change colors, the zillion pumpkins all over, the cups of cocoa and fireplace weather. Cooking is also much more fun at this time of year. Such yummy foods and smells. I also like living in a place where you can visibly see the seasons change - don't exactly like picking up after the oak trees but they sure are pretty!

If you know me, you know that I absolutely love four leaf clovers AND pumpkins. You can never have enough pumpkins in the Fall around your home. Frontier City... FINALLY!

We have been promising to take the H's to Frontier City forever. It was supposed to happen last year. Last year I had sweet baby Grayson and then got incredibly ill. Spring Flowers 2013

I love to see flowers popping up in the spring. Wish they would stay longer but its fun to look and enjoy while they last! Tulips are my favorite flower. I wish I had a zillion planted.
The sweet lady who used to live next door to the Tucker's at the lakehouse had beautiful flowers all along her fence line. She loved her plants. I couldn't help but admire the beauty of her flowers still even though the yard has gone to pot.

Splish Splashin' & Dinos

The 4th of July 2010 - Lake Texoma

We spent the 4th of July at the lake with the Tucker family. The weather wasn't overwhelmingly hot like in past years so we didn't completely sweat buckets but a few sticky hot moments were still enjoyed. Blackberries

Last year I planted 2 blackberry bushes and 2 red raspberry bushes. The raspberries produced but the blackberries didn't. This year the raspberries are so sweet and yummy and the blackberries grew. They are huge. I can't get over how large they have grown. Hunter and I love to go pick and eat them right off the vine sometimes.

So wish me luck as I try YET ANOTHER YEAR to grow pumpkins to full term. I get them all happy and as the summer rolls on by the wither away. If you know me, pumpkins are right up there in the love category as 4-leaf clovers. I hope by actually mounding them this year they respond and do well. I roped Brady into planting them for me this time. I am sure it will be the magic touch!

Spring Growth - 2010

I love seeing my plants that have been in a dormant state start springing back to life. I began weeding a little bit over the weekend and preparing the herb bed and garden spot. The strawberry patch is happy and my teeny tiny rose bushes are getting bigger finally. The berry bushes are much larger and spreading. They may overtake the grapes. Lakehouse Easter 2010
