We decided to picnic and headed towards the Visitor's Center area in Mammoth. There were some elk just hanging out in the lawn grazing and resting. It was fun for Hailey to get out and walk over and see them. You have to observe the distance rule. Hailey just didn't quite get it that you couldn't just go up to one and feed it. She wanted too real bad but seeing them this close was very cool. The visitor's center was good too. They had lots of animals on display. Hunter liked that. They had a documentary movie going on that Hailey wanted to check out but it wasn't so good after all. We enjoyed our picnic and were off again for more sightseeing. The temperature dropped a little but overall our jackets were enough. 

My camera didn't quite capture the beautiful YELLOW color of this piece of rock on display but it was nice to see what Yellowstone was named after!
