The last two years have been so disappointing as far as winter weather. Last year it was hardly worth buying a coat and we didn't even have one single fire in our fireplace. This year we have had the fire on a few times to my delight and it snowed. There was more but at one point the snow turned back to this rainy slushy mix and melted it off. The kids could hardly contain themselves once they got out of school. Such a bummer to be trapped at school on probably one of the only days it will actually snow this winter season here. Nonetheless it was fun. Hailey made a snowman. It fell and became a snow train. Hunter whined about his hands being cold till I gave him his snow gloves. He also enjoyed smacking Hailey with snowballs but didn't like being hit by them when the snow managed to get into his clothes:) Hailey got him good. She's a better shot apparently. Although he said he wasn't very good at throwing them at her the ones he did get were powerful. That kid has some punch behind his! Glad they got to enjoy the weather some. I was sad to see the sun come out and make it all melt away. I love cloudy winter days!
