Sunday was spent enjoying each other and good food. Kaelee had an idea before the reunion started that she wanted to make a quilt for grandmother. Jennifer made a cute quilt that each of the grandchildren put their hand or footprint on a square with their name and age. It turned out very cute and she loved it. She actually admired it the day before it had everyone's prints on it.

Daenon helped set up the traditional candy jar guessing game and the guessing began.

My Uncle Cal and Aunt Raeola arrived. Raeola is a sister of grandmother. Hunter admired Cal's hat. They are just plain good people.  Love them.

Alice made some pound cake for dessert from a recipe that was mother's. Mother got the recipe from a lady friend when they lived in Biloxi. 

Daenon showed the kids the cellar/space underneath the house and told them that is where we were put as children when we were bad with a candle! It always fascinated us growing up so some actually believed until I had to confess the real truth. 

It was getting too hot outside so the kids took a break and watched a movie in grandmother's family room. Here is proof of how Hailey watches television most of the time. She seems to always be upside down!

Yummy shish kabobs were prepared and cooked on the grill. It was a nice treat instead of hamburgers. Hamburgers are way over used. I did have half a hot dog though. I love those horrible things and eat them at occasions like these. I made Hailey try the other half. She hated it and threatened to gag but she survived.

The kids played in the water more and Hailey got to feel what it was like to have a water balloon explode on your body. She was surprised that it hurt some. She got over it though because throwing water balloons is fun!

Candy jar winners were announced and we ate pound cake and strawberries for dessert!

Maxine came over again and joined us for dinner and dessert. It was windy and her plate kept blowing over. She wound up getting mustard on her pretty pink dress. Hopefully it came out.

We took our traditional family picture in front of grandmother's house. I missed my sister Tessa and her family being there and in it.... sad but it worked out to be the best option.
